Simply Cotton Organic Fingering
This 100% organic cotton yarn is good for you and Mother Earth. No dyes or bleach are used to process the yarn, keeping the fiber super soft, easy to work with, and sure to bring pleasure to anyone who wears it. The natural white of this pristine state is also an ideal canvas for natural dyes or any other home dyeing adventures; be sure to use plant fiber-friendly dye process.
Due to the natural state of the yarn, expect a 5-10% shrinkage in length of knitted fabric. Preparing a gauge swatch is highly recommended, washing and drying with your intended care methods in order to check shrinkage and gauge before knitting your project.
In fingering weight, this yarn is good for summer shawls and breathable accessories. Also available in worsted and sport weights.
Immersion, hand-painting, and more will work well on this base when using a dye for plant fibers. We recommend testing dye techniques on a mini skein before dyeing a larger quantity. Use our natural yarns and try dyeing for the first time by following the directions in Jacquard® Dye Tutorial. or our Gradated Dyeing Tutorial.
We have Jacquard Acid Dyes available in a wide range of colors.
