Winter Blooms
Winter Blooms are 3-dimensional knitted flowers made with Aloft mohair and silk yarn, featuring optional leaves of Alpaca Cloud. They can be made into a panoply of pretty, gift-worthy items including corsages, hat ornaments, fascinators, baby headbands, boutonnieres, and gift package tie-ons.
The flowers are knitted flat, back and forth in rows, and gathered to form rosettes in 3 sizes; the leaves are also knitted flat in rows. Full instructions are given for all of the above items, including the addition of embellishments.
Finished measurements after blocking: large rosettes measure 3" in diameter, medium rosettes 3", small rosettes 2", extra small rosettes 1". Large leaves measure 4" long x 2" wide at widest point; small leaves, 3" x 2".
