Ruffles and Wild Roses Shawlette
This sweet shawlette can be worn so many ways --around the neck in various ways, like a traditional shawl, even around the waist! Starting with a base instead of a traditional chain, next is worked a mesh triangle of chain loops. After a wide ruffle of basic trebles which curls at the ends is worked for a border, and a subtle edging row, 2 leaves and a wild rose are crocheted separately and appliqued onto the point of the shawlette. It is simple, but so striking! It perfectly showcases the lovely laceweight yarn and captures the soft draped and ruffled silhouette so trendy this year. Measurements are: 48 in. at widest point, 22 in. from neck to tip. Skill Level: Intermediate.
