underscore the stitch definition of this unisex design.

The blanket is worked flat in one piece in a worsted-weight yarn. The carriage blanket size is shown, and the pattern includes a larger lap throw size. The Rib pattern and Cable Panel are written out and charted. To make a custom-sized blanket, just add or subtract horizontal repeats of the Rib pattern and Cable Panel and work until the blanket is your desired length. For all sizes, to ensure that you have enough yarn, you may (a) weigh your blanket after completing the bottom border and first 13 rows of the Cable Panel; and (b) save a corresponding weight of yarn for the top of the blanket.
