Incredibly cozy and chic - the Janus Cardigan contrasts clean, architectural lines against the feminine keyhole detail that is revealed on the backside of the garment.
Janus is knit from the hem to the underarms in one piece with waist shaping at the sides. Once the underarm length is reached, all stitches between the two sets of front edge ribbing are bound off, with the ribbing left “live.� The right and left sides of the raglan yoke are picked up from the bound off edge and worked separately in order to create the keyhole opening in the center back. Each side of the front edge ribbing is knit to half the back width, seamed together, then seamed down to the back to create a continuous strip of ribbing up both sides and around the neck.
