Cable knitting needles are specialized knitting needles used in cable knitting. Cable knitting is a technique where stitches are twisted and crossed to create a variety of textured and raised designs.

Cable knitting needles have a slightly bent or curved shape that allows you to easily move stitches back and forth as you create cable patterns.When using cable needles, you will typically use them in conjunction with regular straight or circular knitting needles. You will work your cable stitches onto the cable needle and then hold the needle to the front or back of your work as instructed in the pattern.Our metal cable needles are designed to securely hold stitches out of the way while you move other stitches around them. The bulky needle (A) is perfect for the chunky yarns that are so popular. If you are using traditionally sized yarn, the center scoop needle (B) works well. The regular needle (C) hangs down taking up less room when you are working on socks or sleeves. Note: Colors may vary from what is pictured.
