A snug fitting beanie designed for my machinist son who works on a certain airplane for a certain company, the pattern was quickly adopted by my daughter-in-law who wanted one for both herself and their baby girl - thus, a family beanie was born! Knit in 1x3 ribbing, the 777 is super stretchy providing full coverage of the ears; alternatively, it can be worn cuffed to reveal a cute set of earrings as well as the 3x1 ribbing underneath. The perfect beanie for the trendsetting family, the 777 is a straightforward pattern that lends itself well to social knitting and works up quickly! Why 777? Knit on US 7 needles, for 7 inches (in the original xl size) and finished with a 7-row decrease. I added a preemie size so there would be 7 sizes, too. Happy knitting!
