Knitting Community

Here are the photos of my studio makeover. I am almost finished with the major painting. I still need to paint the shelves which I hope to do today. Gee, I hope these pics aren't too big. They look monstorous in the blog editor. It has been a labor of love. I would love to have it finished that is.

I hope I can talk about this. I have opened my ArtFire Studio/Shop with only my fine art and jewelry so far. I hope this winter to include some crochet and knitting. Mittens would be nice and my hot mug cozies too. We'll see. ArtFire is exiting out of beta the fourth quarter and offering a fantastic deal to all of artfire, a pro account for only $5.95, but it is contingent on 20,000 people opting in. I don't think there is going to be much problem for them to reach that goal. I am really excited about it. Again I don't know if posting about this is allowed or posting the link is allowed, so dear reader if you are confused about what the heck I am talking about, then it was probably deleted. I have so many networks that I get confused about what is ok and what is not.

I keep thinking about this winter and knitting and crocheting in my brand new made-over studio.

Big bear hugs to everyone,

Pat

Peggy it is so much better than Etsy. You do not have to register to look for and buy stuff. The seller does not have to pay any fees to list stuff to sell and never pays a commission. The basic studio is always and will always be free. A pro shop has a monthly fee of $15.00 now, but if a person signs up for a basic and then opts in for a pro contingent on 20,000 people opting in for the 4th quarter then the monthly charge will always be $5.95 as long as the account remains active. I love artfire so much. They work for us and not against us. They do not expect us to work for them. They give us all the tools and teach us how to use them to promote our studios. Artfire submits our products to google market every month and several other search engines. I forget the numbers. They want us to link to our other social networks, other e-commerce stores, and web pages.

Sorry, I went off on the deep end. I am so pumped. I love my new paint. I have a bead-in this next Monday so may not try to paint the shelves this weekend or if I do it will only be a few, so they have plenty of time to dry.

It has been so good to talk to you again.

Big, big hug to you,
Pat

Pat: It got posted, so it's OK. Is this similar to an Etsy store? If so, I'll pass the information along to my two alpaca-raising friends. Also, I have trouble finding stuff on Etsy, so it would be interesting to see if it's easier to find my way around. Love how your studio is progressing! I'm thinking of a redo for mine, too! It has been three years since I installed my cabinets.
