I'm so excited about the Ravelympics that I had to write an extra post. I just received my official name badge for the Knit Picks Enablers team:

...and the yarn I've already washed and dried is wound into balls:

...and I did a "practice CO" for my baby beanie so I wouldn't be stuck with not enough tail for my long-tail CO. I marked the place that allows enough yarn, and took it out. I'm ready to go. Here's my yarn:

It's KP's Simply Cotton Worsted in "Marshmallow." I have it entered in the Junior Olympics event. I should be done with it by Monday and will try to post a photo, although my project for the other event will be a killer. I probably won't finish it by the end of the Olympics. The event is "Fleece to FO Long Track," and it requires that we spin at least 4 oz during the competition and knit or crochet our project until it's finished. The Landscape Shawl would probably take me two weeks if I had nothing else to do, but I have a busy schedule the next two weeks. Next time I'll try to plan better. Happy knitting everyone, and enjoy the Olympics! --P

We're all too old for these late nights... it doesn't stop us though - plus, it gives the rest of you something to read in the morning. --S
