and, mine!

Umm, someone didn't pay attention to gauge!! In my defense, I did use a size 8 needle which is pretty small for Cadena but you know that I am a loose knitter. And, when I am making something more involved or larger than a hat, I am good about gauge. But, I was so excited about Jared's design that I could not wait to get started!!

Here's the "Ta Da"

My first successful felting project!! Please note how nicely I shaped the crown! Yep, I am thrilled!!

I used one and a half skeins of Cadena, Saffron, to make my unfelted (gaugeless) hat. So, I will give away two skeins of Cadena as my Knit Buddy drawing. That will probably be enough for two hats knit at the correct gauge! Please add a comment to this blog entry and you will be eligible for the drawing next week, November 11th.

Love the hat! Crossing my fingers to win - c'mon, blackberry! (or saffron, or cranberry, or or or) :-)

What an awesome hat Kelley! I've been hat crazy the last couple of weeks getting Xmas presents ready. Since I have never knit anything for myself, this would be a great hat for me! Thanks!

Great hat! I love felting, its such an adventure and it hides any errors. This is one to make before the snow flies!

I like the felted hat better than the unfelted on. Looks so pretty on you too.

What a cute hat! And you look so good in your hats! (No, I'm not sucking up...I really mean my compliment.) You have inspired me to make more hats. So now my pattern library has one more in it and another project in the queue. When my DH comments/complains I will explain that it's all your fault!! LOL

Very cute! I'm still learning and would love to give this a try. What experience level would you say for this hat is required?

I would love to be a knit buddy and make this hat! It's about time I moved up! Thanks for the opportunity.
