hi everyone & thank you for your help in advance! (i wasn't sure where i should post this)
I am about to start the hugo hat & have just discovered I have a 24" head (pattern is for 22"). any suggestions for altering the pattern for my giant skull? would just going from 5's to 6's be enough or do i need to increase the stitches too? i am relatively new at knitting so i'm not even totally sure how to figure the stitches out... 5.5 st=1" so i should add 11 stitches (maybe 16 so it isn't too snug?) i am knitting my swatch and it's dead on to the gauge.
thanks,

I just received the Clock/Tam kit!!!
I will use the kit to make pillows in both the cabled & fair isle version.
California is (hopefully) going to have lots of rain this winter, so maybe I'll knit up a tam as well!

Kelley,
Marvelous podcast, as always... OK, I fell in love with the Hugo Hat... didn't like all of the colors, so purchased the kit a a couple of balls of othe colors of City Tweed DK... then I got my order... tore open the package... took one look at the instructions, and tossed the instructions into a box. #1 - charts terrify me! #2 - charts with color coding terrify me even more. When I decide to jump into this one, who created this monster, so that I can direct my numerous questions to the right person. Don't get me wrong - I love the hat! But how am I gong to knit it. --s
