Thank you for talking about putting the knit on the inside. I'm building my knitting confidence, and like to walk, so I'll have to attempt socks like this. :)
Is video podcast 114 - lining knitting bags working. I have tried many times to watch it and it does not come up. What is a good lining for the East meets West bag?
This was a great idea regarding knitting socks "inside-out". I blogged about it here and love this technique.

Thanks for the "reverse" sock tips, and the Knitty article on sox for diabetics. I am not diabetic but am on chemo for the rest of my life, making for very tender feet. The pictures of the sox helped a lot.

Hi. I just wanted to share an idea for fabric to line knitted bags -- I get cloth napkins, cloth place mats or even dish towels. They are large enough for many bags, the fabric is usually decent quality and the edges are already hemmed! Place mats, which are already heavier are especially good.
Kelley, Tina and Kerin,
Loved this podcast. I'm getting ready to knit a diaper bag for felting for my DIL in the next few months, and these tips and trick - especially the Pelon 70 and 71, are very timely indeed. Loved the interview with Sandra, what a wonderfully innovative lady. KP rocks as usual! Love the podcasts. Susan

I am listening to the current podcast right now and I ove the info on the socks and blisters. I have not made socks yet but have every intention on doing as as soon as I finish some UFO's. But I have been researching them. My father is a severe diabetic with constant feet problems and wanted to know what was best for him if i made his socks. I imagined the pattern needed to be soft but what material to use... I ran across this issue from Knitty.com and LOVE IT!! I love how they explain the importance of materials and WHY they are important. I wanted to share the info even though I am sure many of you already know a lot about this... http://knitty.com/ISSUEsummer07/FEATdiabeticfeet.html

The "Princess Foot" is discussed in Cat Bordhi's Socks Soar on Two Circular Needles, but I don't think she mentioned that you could turn it inside-out and knitting instead of purling. It's a really good idea. I tend not to get ladders when my first st is K, but have to pay close attention if it's P. I'll sometimes move the sts around so that the beginning of the needle is a K. Cat also suggests going down one needle size for the sole of the foot to make denser fabric, which I sometimes do, especially if the sock is only 8 sts/in.
