Soren's Green Pastures cardigan is progressing nicely. It should be ready for Christmas or shortly after.

It doesn't look too different from the same stage of Daphne's, although it's a size smaller.

In the plans are two I-spy quilts, one for each of the boys, perhaps in time for their second birthdays.

This week was busy with concerts. I'm in the Park City Singers, and we were privileged to get to sing with the Salt Lake Vocal Artists. They're very good, so it was an honor. Here are some photos from the last concert. The second concern was a sellout:

We had some children sing with us. They were awesome!

Dr. Brady Allred and Laurel Enke, the pianist, entertained us after the show was over

We'll be hitting the road soon. Hope to have some great photos to show you from our visit in Wisconsin.

What's on my needles: "Green Pastures" cardigan for Soren, working on the body.  Dogwood Blossoms and Christmas Waffle sweater, travel knitting when Soren's sweater is done, and Green Tea socks still with the heel almost done.

What's on my loom: Making more progress on the Christmas present scarves.

What's on my iPad/iPhone: I'm still listening to The Fairy Godmother by Mercedes Lackey from Audible. Reading Yours Affectionately, Jane Austen, by Sally Smith O'Rourke from Book Bub. Listening to the Fiber Hooligan podcast and the Knit Picks podcast.

What's my app of the week: NORAD Tracks Santa, ready for the big night.

What's in my wine glass: Concannon Merlot 2011. The really big bottle. For medicinal purposes.

Note: This blog post was produced on the iPad and the MacBook, using the iPhone for some photos and some photo processing. No other computer was used in any stage of composition or posting, and no Windows were opened, waited for, cleaned or broken. No animals were harmed during the production of this blog post.

Oops. OK, not a good idea then! :)

I think we've taken up more than enough of Peggy's blog! If you want to send me a message here or on Ravelry (Rav ID: buffyjoseph), I'll send you my email & we'll see if we can figure it out.

I asked her to come over but cant. I'll see her at Christmas but she wont have the time to help nor will she be willing. She yells at me everytime I open my mouth.

I'm sorry, AB. If I was there I could probably help.

Will you see your mom at Xmas? Maybe she could help then.

Did that about ten times last night. Needle goes down doesnt pick up and then tangles around bobbin casing.

DS9 is fun - I'm glad Netflix is working again!

If you didn't rewind the bobbin, it sounds like maybe it didn't go back in the case correctly, or the case is not in the machine correctly.

Take the bobbin case out of the SM, and the bobbin out of the case. Carefully, following the directions if you have the manual, put the bobbin back in the case, put the bobbin thread through the case as directed, and put the case back in the machine. Try picking up the thread again.

Good luck!

The bobbin was still full. Something made me think it was empty so checked it and now needle wont pick up. Its a new machine and dont know how to change needle. When in SD I think a lesson is in order. Normally my mom would help but I'm house sitting an hr away. Thanks for the advice. At least I got netflix working. Rewatching star trek DS9.

The bobbin has a case. It just wont pick up but I'll try winding a new bobbin. Have a happy holidays.

AB - did you change the needle when you wound a new bobbin? Needle being in wrong is the most common cause of SM issues. If not, re-thread the needle - it may be threaded wrong. Finally, is there a bobbin case (or is it just a drop in bobbin)? If there is a case, make sure the bobbin is in the case correctly, the thread is coming out correctly, and that the case is in the SM correctly.

Hope some of this helps.

I'm sorry you don't have Netflix - I've been rewatching my favorite TV show, Firefly, while spinning with a spindle.

May make another in worsted for a bigger size and longer sleeves. I have the stranded version pattern.
