Rainbow Socks

Hello Everyone,

Last weekend I finished up these socks that I started a long time ago - like way back last May after I received my order of the new Felici.  My Mom really liked the Rainbow colour, so I thought I'd make her some socks.  However, they ended up getting pushed to the sidelines for one reason or another.  She'd mention them from time to time, but I…

Tea Party Monkeys

Hello Everyone,

I finally finished my Tea Party Monkeys today!!  I'm super happy with how they turned out, and I'm so excited to wear them :)  After finishing my Sunday Swing socks back in January, I've developed a new appreciation of wearing hand knit socks; so I'm…

Finally Some Finished Projects!

Hello Knitters,

I don't know if I mentioned this or not, but a while ago I was getting quite overwhelmed with all my WIPs.  My Mom noticed this and made the suggestion that I start limiting the new projects I add and start finishing up all the ones I already have going.  I thought that was a brilliant plan (although a bit not so fun to stick to when you want to start somethig new right away....especially with all the cute new patterns out there) but I've been doing my best to…

Hello Knitters,

I've finally got some photos to share!  Sorry it's taken me so long.  First I'd like to show a picture of my Sunday Swing Socks knit out of Stroll Hand-Paint in Cartoons.  I actually have these on my feet as I write this.  They are super cozy, soft and a perfect fit!  They keep my feet warm enough, but not too warm.  Just the right thing for these chilly winter nights!

Knitting Away

Hello Everyone,

I have been knitting away here for the last while, but I have no pictures to show for it yet.  I've been bitten by the "sock bug" and have made a pair in Stroll Hand-Paint Cartoons, and I finished the first of a pair this morning in Stroll Hand-Paint Tea Party.  I've had these colourways in my stash since the summer, so I thought it was about time I used them up in an effort to make room for the new spring yarns!  I'm so excited to see what colours KP does this year!! …

It's Been a While

Hello everyone,

My goodness, it's been SO long since I last posted here!! I've missed you all!! I have kept posting on my other blog, but once things started to pick up with the wedding, I just didn't have the time to get over here as much. However, now that the wedding is over, (it went fantatic by the way) I seem to have a little more time on my hands to come over here and post. I've decided I'm going to do my best to keep this blog devoted to KP related items as that will…

New Living Quarters

Hello Knitters,

Sorry for such a long delay in my blogging! I\ve sort of moved to the city to stay with my sister for a while. She and her fiance recently bought a new house, and since their wedding isn't until October and they didn't want the house to sit empty all summer, my sister decided she would move in now. That way she would be closer to work since she is really busy. So I came up here to keep her company :-) It's a lot of fun and I'm really enjoying my time here. It's…

Victoria Day

Hello Knitters,

Happy Victoria Day to my fellow Canadians! I hope everyone has been enjoying this lovely long weekend. I've been having a blast spending time with my family! Yesterday my sister and I went kayaking up and down the river, which is the perfect way to get burnt we found out! My sister is red as a tomato today! I'm not as bad. We realized this morning that we only got…

Felici Baby Cardi

Hello Knitters,

I finally finished (well almost, just needs buttons) the baby cardigan I've been working on with the new Felici Sport. It turned out very cute, and I really like the colour and softness of this yarn. It is a bit splitty at times, but not real bad. I fully enjoyed working with it and can only imagine how soft socks are going to feel once I get some done! Here's a picture of it while blocking:…

The yarn is Knit Picks Imagination in Unicorn. They're so soft, warm and cuddly! My feet think they are quite the treat! I will be making more of these for sure in the future!

I also thought I'd…

Good Morning

Good Morning Knitters,

Good news. My Mom and I seem to be done our bush cleaning we've been working on for the last almost 2 weeks, so now I should have more time for knitting and blogging! We do have some more outdoor work to do, but the majority of the big work is done now.

The weather is getting so nice here, so I think I might be able to start dying some yarn soon! I'm very excited and scared at the same time. I bought some of the Jaquard Acid Dyes but then…

Hello Everyone,

I've got pictures of the yarn! Yay!! Today has been nice and sunny, so I got a chance to take some pictures outside. Here they are:

Stroll Tonals in Golden Glow, Blue Yonder, Blue Violet and Queen Anne.

Then there is the Imagination in Looking Glass, Unicorn and Mermaid Lagoon (I got this last one a while back, but it wanted in on the picture-taking fun).…

I'm Back!!

Hello Everyone,

I'm so sorry it's been so long since I last posted. I've been busy, and then some days I just didn't feel like posting...weird, I know, but it happens sometimes :-)

On the good news front, I got my Knit Picks order on Friday, and it included some of the new Stroll Tonals! I was honestly surprised at how amazingly beautiful and vivid they are. I was a bit shocked to see that the Queen Anne was more brown then I thought, but I still really like it!…

Busy Week Ahead

Good Morning Knitters,

How is everyone's week going? Mine is going well. It's going to be a very busy week for me with Easter coming up this weekend. Our Pancake House has it's busiest weekend, so I have to make sure I have lots of products ready! I really enjoy all the prep that goes into this time :-) It does limit the amount I am able to knit though, but I am trying to do a little when I can sneak it in! I did a better update on my other…
