That sweater pattern sounds awesome, but I don't know if I'm really ready to try for a sweater yet..... even just thinking about one day knitting a sweater is quite intimidating for me.... to date, the only things I've ever knitted that have been shaped to people are two pairs of socks, two hats, and a pair of fingerless gloves.... the rest has all been blankets, scarves, and shawls..... lots of knitting, but I will admit that sweaters and sweater shaping really intimidates me a lot.

Yes, definitely definitely I love to save money on yarn whenever possible! (I am the person who always takes the 40% off coupon to Joann's and Michaels whenever I go, lol) I went to that website and I was so amazed!!! They have some awesome yarn! I especially drooled over their worsted weight silk and I think wool.... mmmm, silky yarn. But, ya, back to the Dream yarn.... I have my own little stash of Dream yarn at home that was mostly picked up by friends when it was on clearance sale, but I am always looking for more.... it's just so yummy and soft! My MIL says she wants a sweater made of it, but (A) I have never made a sweater before, and (B) I don't have that much in one color (that I don't have going to a scrumptious shawl I'm making for myself). I do love your stitch markers so much! You'll have to post more pics when you get more done!

Sounds beautiful. Perhaps after the holidays and before you leave for Paris, I can make it out your way to your knitting group.

Well, if someone tells me they really shouldn't buy more yarn, I try to goad them into it. I'm forever suggesting they purchase things such as more books and more needles. I can't wait for Signature Needles to come out with their circs. Although I know they are expensive, I will be encouraging everyone to get some. I have a couple of pair of straights and 3 sets of DPNs. They are so much better for doing my Christmas stockings.

So, yes, I am a bad influence, but in a good way!

That's cool! Too bad I'm so new at knitting I'm not completely sure what those are for or how to use them... Sad I know but story of my life.

Peggy has a very quick wit and we bounce off each other a lot. I've been trying to get some other things done that I promised. Believe me, I've been checking every now and then to see what's happening.

Since I don't think my boys will ever have children, I could drift in Paris forever. We were more excited about going to see places that sold La Cornue stoves, shopping for a really good hair brush, and people watching, than we were at seeing all the tourist places.

That's my kind of vacation. I love to eat and drink my way through Paris. Sitting at any of the cafés and knitting makes it even more perfect. One time when we went, we took the subway to the Louvre. When we got out, we said the line is so short! Little did we know we had cut in line. The line was, as usual, hours long above ground in the courtyard around the pyramid. Ooops!
