About Me:
I've been knitting for 40 years, though not continuously - I took a break during my child-rearing years. I picked it back up a few years ago, and am amazed at all the lovely yarns and patterns now readily available. I've gone wild for socks!

Thanks Nancy. I do know of the Crazy Girl shop in CF. Been in it looking at books for crochet. Though that was before I decided to try my hand at Knitting. I look forward to going back, and may ask about some instructions on knitting. I sure love all the beautiful yarn. I can't wait to start knitting socks!

My accent depends on who I'm talking to. So if I'm around a lot of East Texans or West Texans I can really get twangy.

Actually, Nancy, I bet there were plenty of students from rich families back then that were just that, kids from rich families with no desires for learning. Wish you lived here. My DH has gone back to school for some math and science classes. Long story there. But he's taking Organic this semester and panicking. He could use all the extra help he can get right now. I'm sure he'll make at least a B which isn't bad for an old man (he's 59). He's really happy having met all these young students and encouraging them to do well. I take your comment about nursing students with heart. Our number 2 son has his LVN and is will finish his ADN in May. But I can assure you that he hated taking Chemistry.

As far as learning things about the computer. It will come. It takes using it to learn how to use it. Children are certainly ungrateful. How dare your daughter leave a year early and prevent you from learning computer skills from her.

I try to be helpful. I have a dyslexic sister so I'm used to analyzing things and breaking it down.

If you listen to today's Podcast. You can here me, Peggy Stuart and Susan the Blue Lake Knitter, in that order.

Oh, my goodness! I didn't know you were an Iowa girl, Nancy. I'm now a Kansas girl transplanted from South Dakota. I added you as a friend, too. :)

Thanks for the response. I still have a hard time with this computer stuff. Lots of learning. Socks are one of my favorite things to knit, but last summer I picked up some lace items. Love it all. Renee
