I, too, have a Ravelry account, but I'm not sure what my ID # is, either!  In fact, I don't even remember making an account with them! Now that is SAD! lol  I'll let you know as soon as I find out myself.

I'm truly hoping that you can help me, I'm really having alot of trouble reading this pattern I've had to start it over so many times that I know I'll need to buy an extra ball of the carbon and the pink more than likely lol. I was hoping someone could explain a few things more clearly rignt now I'm on the very begining and I'm still not sure if I'm doing this properly: Do I do 9 of the border with the mc and then add the cc later? Then since it says to do it 9 times I assume where it says the sixth repeat in the first top half would be the sixth time you go through the border. When I'm going through the border with the mc I don't at any time change it to the cc until I'm ready to do the top half? I'm sooo lost please advise, I've done lace before but this for some reason is not sinking in. I'd appreciate any help and thank  you in advance.

I downloaded the wallpaper "knit calm" and would like to knit the green leaf lace pattern in the upper right corner.  Could you please tell me if you know where I can find that?

Thank you,

Jenny, I have the Denise interchangeable knitting needle kit as I am only on my second season of learning to knit and really enjoy knitting in the round rather than straight...but I've found that the cables that come with this set are a bit big and I have to stop and rearrange my knitting every 20 stitches or so since they don't just slide around the cable there a significant difference in the Knit Picks cables that would make it worth while buying them?

Hi Jenny

I signed up for the holiday knit-a-long but I can't seem to find the pattern we are doing or is it posted yet?  The other "knit  "a-longs I have been in usually have someone post a part of the pattern every other day so one can knit along with every one else and try to guess what you are making.

Thank-you!  Tamra

Hi Jenny,

I called KnitPicks today and I got an operator who seemed to be on an irritable streak and told me I might hear from you guys in about 2 days. After our interaction I kind of doubted whether anyone would get that message. Cheryl Waters on the community pages suggested I contact you directly, that if you didn't know the answer that you'd know who I could ask.

I'm in the middle of the Diatom Shawl ("tropical") and have run into the spot around rows 58-61 where everything seems to shift over one stitch, only it doesn't, and a slipped stitch has to happen at the start of the row, and a slipped decrease happens at the end, while mysteriously maintaining the stitch count on all sides with the design shifting over one stitch. I'm confused as to why it was design to shift that way, what benefit that has - if I knew that I'd have a better grasp on what those rows need to accomplish.

I'm completely stumped and have tried it several ways. If I could just talk it out with someone or maybe (even better) see pictures of what's intended that would help a lot.

Thanks so much!
