Suggestions for new Knitalongs?

GREAT Idea, as I would love to come up with some things to help me fit my LONG, TALL, THIN son with sweaters that actually are long enough! Ocean Pacific pants were a godsend when he was younger--h...

Suggestions for new Knitalongs?

Thanks--I will bring my socks to the computer and try. I hold my left finger quite close to the needle, so that may be the problem. The pictures make it easier to see....everyone I know is so fast ...

About Me:
I rediscovered knitting when my daughter learned to knit in college, and I have been building my stash ever since. I've known how to knit for over 50 years, and I love many of the new techniques that facilitate the process of designing with yarn! I am addicted to laces right now, but also enjoy scarves, hats, and socks.

use a background that does not fight your knitting. also, natural light is a good thing... i would use window light. - not harsh light though.

LOL... those were suggestions for your question about photo tips. i spose they can be taken either way. :-)

actually, knitting in the round IS a wonderful thing, but imo, some things need the extra boost of a seam. plus, seaming keeps your skills sharp, is fun to do, and with the right attitude- adds an extra element of the craft. some people are of the mind set that seaming should ALWAYS be avoided. with that attitude, you are missing out on fun and a wonderful skill set.

don't be afraid of steeks. just make sure that the yarn you choose is wool and that it can felt a bit. that is the secret of a successful steek. you want to cut sts to lock in to each other.. hope that helps make you feel a wee bit more confident about it. plus amo knows her stuff!! she can guide you through any questions you may have. :-)
