About Me:
Hey! I am married to an awesome guy who likes to do spool knitting. I have 3 kids, aged 6, 3, and 0.5. I have a jillion knitting needles in all different sizes :-) I love making hats and amigurumi. I have been wanting to try socks and fair isle forever, maybe this is the year...

I love to knit, crochet, quilt, tat, and sew. And cook. it's not always about fiber arts!! ;-)

I also am crazy about making stuff from scratch - not just food, but also laundry detergent. But ya, mostly food, LOL. i make my own yoghurt, bread, pasta, junk like that.
What's your Ravelry ID (if you have one)? (www.ravelry.com)
i dont really know what ravelry is, lol I can't spare any more time for goofing off online ;-)

Works in progress- Hat and scarf for my mom

The scarf is a Knit Picks pattern, the Hoopskirt Scarf. I am making it with Swish bulky in Clematis H… Continue

Viking Hat

Baby Viking hat - from an online pattern.

Here is the Online Pattern

I adjusted the pattern to fit a 3 year old, which simply involved making the brim and crown bigger around, and making the horns a little bit longer. Next time, I'd make them fatte… Continue

Look under the Tutorial Videos on KP's webiste for the sock videos. So far, it's going ok. I've had to rip and correct a few mistakes...lol. Do you have big plans for Thanksgiving?

Right now, I'm waiting on my order from KP to make some more caps for Xmas presents. In the meantime, I've started my first ever pair of socks from the leftover sock yarn of my FIL's cure cap. Thank goodness Kelley posted those sock videos...lol

That's it! It's the first hat in the photo gallery. He has finished the first week of chemo and radiation and has had a few side effects, but is still in good spirits! I took him to chemo yesterday and we had a great visit! Thanks so much for asking. How are you feeling? Are your eyes getting better?

That is the Vivian sweater. My Vivian sweater currently doesn't exist, and I need to cast on again. My friends brought my knitting in from the car, and a ball of yarn was stuck in the car door. As they walked across the parking lot, the entire sweater unraveled! But I just finished a sweater over the weekend, so I have room in my queue to cast on for Vivian again. I love that design.

The washcloth is suppose to be a palm tree but I knitted it so tight the stitches didn't "pop". That's what got me started on youtube looking for videos to improve my tension. I just added a pic of my current WIP too. If you have time, check out my blog, www.knewbieknits.blogspot.com!
