On the Move

Posted on March 29, 2010 at 8:30am 22 Comments

Dan and I recently bought a house (our first!), and the last few weeks have been full of packing, lifting, more packing, more lifting, and painting. The sweaters I knit for Dan also made the journey - I saw this box that he had packed and labeled yesterday, so I snapped a quick photo to share.

Good on so many levels!

Learned Lesson 1: Don't pack a box full of nothing but books - you won't be able to lift it

Early samples of Felici hit the office, and now I just want to make some awesome legwarmers to go with my favorite boots.

We also have a new sport weight Felici coming out:…

Dan's Fancy Sweater

Posted on March 11, 2010 at 2:00pm 16 Comments

I've knit Dan a number of sweaters over the years, both pre- and post-marriage, and a few months ago I pulled the stack of not-worn-very-often knits out of his closet and had him put on a little fashion show for me. Let's just say that I've learned quite a bit about sweater shaping and design over my knitting career, but (sadly) Dan's sweaters came before all of that fancy knittin' book learning. Too-tight necks, gaping collars, short sleeves,… Continue

Kettle Dyed Shawlette

The Bad News: the kettle dyed versions of Stroll and Shadow are being discontinued.

The Good News: they're being replaced with a new tonal hand dyed yarn that I find… Continue

Stitches West 2010

Posted on March 1, 2010 at 2:00pm 15 Comments

Tina and I went on an adventure Saturday and flew down to Stitches West in Santa Clara, CA. It made for a long day trip, but it was definitely packed with delicious fiber-y goodness. There were no photos or videos allowed inside the convention center, but we were able to see some kind of commotion out on the street as we approached the show.

We couldn't quite… Continue

Good day,
How is everything with you, I picked interest on you after going through your short profile and deemed it necessary to write you immediately. I have something very important to disclose to you, but I found it difficult to express myself here, since it's a public site. Could you please get back to me on my private email:( for the full details?
Have a nice day and God bless you,

Alison: I have a new problem. My inbox key (in the box, under my name on the upper right of my page) doesnt work. I used to. I can't get in to check my messages unless I'm responding to an email. That also means I can't read a message and go back to messages without responding, deleting or archiving the message. It used to work before, so I don't know what happened. The compose button also doesn't work, although it used to. I have also learned that I can't edit my albums without going back to the laptop, which I otherwise only do when I have to write my blog. Sorry to leave this here, but i couldnt get the send button to work on my PM to you. Otherwise, I'm really enjoying my iPad! Happy knitting! -P

You gotta teach me that magic loop technique again, double pointed needles are way confusing for me, Brent has Kelley to teach him everything about knitting and I'm all alone down here... Help!
