I've made both lengths of Filagree in Simply Cotton (the longer in Malted Milk, the shorter in Ginger), Gothic in WotA, and, on Memorial Day, I completed one Jack-in-the-Box mitten, but I'm using a non KP yarn: Brown Sheep Lamb's Pride in Jaded Dreams(which bleeds on my hands...Argh.)

Hi Linda -
I did make the thrummed mittens. They were fun and simple to make, and warm to wear. I thrummed them all over, using a dark purple wool and a turquoise roving for the thrumms. I loved them so much I offered to make a pair of thrummed gloves in forest green with brown roving for my college-age son, but he thought the thrumming looked "heart-shaped" and therefore, much to girly!

Hi, iIjust joined the group. I have made one pair of gloves from EZ's book, Knitting Almanac-jogger's mitts. they were fun to knit but still not warm enough. I am currently making a pair of thrummed mittens. Has anyone attempted this technique yet? I just want to thrumm the fingertips becasue I have a real problem with that part of my hand. I am ready to start thrumming tonight. Hope someone can encourage me. thanks, Linda

I have about 15 pattern repeats done in Shine Sport in Crocus. I just love it! I had to adjust the pattern a little since the substitution yarn is the Shine Worsted and I had Sport in my stash. Beautiful and so soft!

Hello all! I got this book a couple weeks back and was happily surprised to see the group today. I have to decide which ones to make, hopefully by the end of the day now that I am motivated. Thanks so much for post with the KP substitutions!

Has anyone finished the red long sleeved gloves on the front of the cover?

Holiday Office Gifts!!
I knit fingerless mitts for the women I work with, and for the men and women I work with on a regular basis I made tiny little mittens - ornaments! Fast and fun!

Hi all! I just finished the Welig gloves (knit in Andean Silk, just like Mary's pair --- only in a yummy plum color). LOVE the Andean silk, and the gloves knit up really fast, even with the cabling and stitch twisting. A also did my second pair of the pointy mittens, but I don't have my book here so I can't remember what they are called. Next on my list is the Golden Bracelets. I live in Minnesota, so I love having lots of glove choices for all this chilly weather we're having!

I just finished a pair of the Negative Space mitts. I chose these because they included some techniques I'd not used much before, if at all: the provisional cast-on, the I-cord bind-off, and the applied I-cord. I found them lots of fun to knit, and I like the Wool of the Andes Bulky--this is the first time I'd used it. I'd be interested in hearing about other yarns you have successfully made these from.

sippiewallace & SallyHP - I can't wait to hear how your mittens are going along! Have you cast on?
