I just purchased the Peruvian Wool (warm) sampler and thought it would be fun to have a group knitalong with that and some of the other samplers. I'd like to see what others are knitting with the samplers. Last summer I purchased the Victorian Sampler and I'm having fun with the yarns. I ended up making a lace cover for my first ever computer (a laptop) with the Cotlin.
That said, I love buying the sampler sets. It's a good way to see what yarns I like the best, add to my stash and in general, play around with the yarns.

Permalink Reply by Peggy Stuart on November 15, 2008 at 7:44am: The Rona shawl is offered by KP. It's very lacy and elegant, and not too difficult if you use lots of markers. I had a hard time with the cast-on, but since then, I have learned from EZ about the Emily Ocker's cast on, and through another shawl knitalong, I found out about knitting a little rectangle with waste yarn to hold onto, then adding the project's yarn and joining the circle at that point.
