Not long ago knit picks had a kit to knit bath items. I was too slow in ordering and missed out on this fun project. Is it possible that it might be re released? Might the pattern alone be offered?
Thanks
Caren
Oops, Susan, you are probably correct. My apologies Caren. It does not look like we are intending to rerelease the kits, as for the pattern, it may be available for purchase in the future but we do not have confirmation of that yet.
I know they are suppose to release the pattern for the Little Bubbles set as a pattern sometime in August. Maybe this one will also be released, too. I would love it.
Trying to do the Pyrifera scarf pattern that came with lace sampler. Keep losing a stitch on row 8, but maybe just don't understand about the binding off. On the chart there are 3 stitches with the bind-off symbol, followed by 9 blank squares meaning just knit. Do I count the stitch left on needle after the bindoff as one of those 9 stitches? How many stitches should I have on needle after completing row 8? I'm a fairly new lace knitter -- so far just in class situations at local knit shop -- but think I could really get to love it.
It looks like after you complete row 8, you will have a total of 46 sitiches left on your needle. (49 stitches-3 bind off stitches) When you start row 8, you will be binding off those 3 stitches, then knitting 9 stitches and continuing the row.
Thanks for your prompt reply. Actually when I finish row 8, there will be 42 stitches (because of several double decreases). My problem was after binding off 3 stitches, I wasn't counting the stitch remaining on the right hand needle as the first knit stitch of the group of 9, so when I got to end of row, I only had 11 stitches left to knit instead of 12. Now that I know to count it everything works out. Also on row 9, I should probably bind off in purl, and count the stitch left on right needle as a purl 1. I tried this with some heavier weight yarn so I could see what I was doing! It was definitely a learning experience. Now, back to the lace!
