Stacey,
I thought I had seen where someone used the Shine Sport, but wasn't sure. I mentioned this to one of my knitting friends here, and she said that she did a sweater for herself using Shine Sport, but that it pilled very badly. I'll probably stick with the Comfy Sport, just to be safe. I'm doing one for a boy, and using the Cremebrule instead of white, with blues and greens. I think it will look good. Now to go pick out some yarn.

Thanks for the quick reply. Susan

Hmm, I did a shrug out of Shine worsted & it didn't pill all that much...but I knit it at a tighter guage, which sometimes will will help with pilling or shedding. But good luck! I bet it will lovely in any yarn :)

I think that sounds like a great color combination, especially for a little boy! It's going to be lovely :)

Does any one know of any problems substituting Shine Sport for Telamark? I would love to knit the new Selba Blazer, but wool is not practical in South Carolina.

Hi Catherine,

Unfortunately, Shine sport would not be a good substitute for Selba - it is a colorwork pattern that needs to be steeked, which requires wool.

Sorry!
