Barb,
I am so sorry... I put the link to the Mr. Foster errata. I just looked and I do not see any errata or the Carman Banana. I feel terrible. Maybe someone from KP can answer the question. --S

Hi Barb,

As far as I know, there is not any errata for Carmen. There's been several people who have knit her & her clothes up and no one has mentioned any errors to us! :)

I am just here looking for suggestions for clothing patterns / books for older kids. My daughter is a childs 5-6, and I have a REALLY hard time finding patterns in that size.

I am not adept at altering patterns to smaller/larger sizes. I have tons of patterns I love for her little sister (3-4T) but nothing for her and she is begging for mommy to knit her something.

Hi mom2emo,

This book might be helpful - I think a lot of pattern books to forget about those sizes!

Yarn Girls Guide: Knits for Older Kids

I haven't used this book myself, but I have used other Yarn Girls Books and they are great for beginners!

Hope this helps!

hi everyone & thank you for your help in advance!
I am to start the hugo hat & have just discovered I have a 24" head (pattern is for 22"). any suggestions for altering the pattern for my giant skull? would just going from 5's to 6's be enough or do i need to increase the stitches too? i am relatively new at knitting so i'm not even totally sure how to figure the stitches out... 5.5 st=1" so i should add 11 stitches (maybe 16 so it isn't too snug?) i am knitting my swatch and it's dead on to the gauge.
thanks,
mega-membrane (aka heather)

Hi! I've started the Hugo Hat, too! I love this pattern and the yarn. I was not willing to do the swatch. I have done the crown part and had to rip it out and start over since it was huge. I switched to smaller needles and it's now a little better fit. Then I did the inner band and it seems bigger than the crown so I'm hoping that when I sew it together it will come together. That's where I had to stop and get some Christmas presents done before I have to mail them. Good luck! Where can I follow your progress and learn from how your hat turned out?
